Yesterday at 8.00 am we had a blackout. Janie and I were sitting in the kitchen having a coffee and suddenly everything went black and there was total silence. We looked at each other. I said “Just wait. Do nothing. Just wait”. Then after about ten seconds… We heard the generator cranking and firing up. Then ten seconds later everything came on again. It’s completely brilliant.
